World Sea Turtle Day was celebrated in Loreto with the 1st Forum on Sea Turtle Conservation Outreach on June 21st, with a collaboration between Eco-Alianza de Loreto, UABCS Campus Loreto, the Loreto City Council, and the Regional Center for Normal Education. Sea turtles are fundamental species for marine ecosystems, and their conservation is crucial to ensure the health and diversity of our oceans, as well as the well-being of communities dependent on them. Despite their importance, these species remain vulnerable and are protected under different risk categories.

Together for Change

In Loreto, we are proud to have three protected natural areas: Bahía de Loreto National Park, Loreto II, and Nopoló. These spaces reflect our commitment to preserving the incredible biodiversity and natural heritage of our region. From iconic species to landscapes of great historical and ecological value, these areas are vital to our identity and environmental balance, both locally and nationally!

At Eco-Alianza, we work hand in hand with the community to actively conserve these unique spaces. Today, we celebrate the collective efforts of everyone striving for a greener, healthier Loreto, full of life.

Join us in conservation—together, we make a difference!
