- Protect and conserve the unique marine biodiversity of Bahia de Loreto and surrounding islands and inlets of the region, which make up a part of the designated World Heritage Site for the Gulf of California
- Historic preservation
- Community engagement and public participation to avoid irresponsible land use planning and development that
will be environmentally destructive and unsustainable - Government accountability and transparency
- Commitment to environmental education for young and old alike among the residents (part time, full time) of Loreto as well as out of town visitors
- An active and engaged partnership of nonprofits, academic institutions, government and business
