A Shared Achievement
None of this would be possible without the support of the individuals and institutions who believe in our mission. Every monitoring program, educational activity, restoration effort, and opportunity to represent Loreto on the international stage exists because of those who recognize the importance of protecting our natural heritage.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supports our mission through our annual Fundraising Gala, as well as to the foundations and donor organizations that have placed their trust in Eco-Alianza. Their contributions have enabled us to sustain long-term projects that generate scientific knowledge, strengthen environmental education, and promote the conservation of the ecosystems that make Loreto so unique.
For nearly 19 years, Eco-Alianza has remained firmly committed to protecting the natural environment of our region. Seeing our local work showcased on an international stage reaffirms that, together, we are creating an impact that extends far beyond our shores.

From Loreto to the World: Eco-Alianza at the 2026 Waterkeeper Alliance
Global Conference Representing Loreto in Quito
At Eco-Alianza, we believe that effective conservation begins at the local level, but its impact can reach far beyond our borders. We’re proud to share that our work to protect Loreto’s marine ecosystems and water resources was recently featured at the 2026 Waterkeeper Alliance Global Conference in Quito, Ecuador.
As a member of the Waterkeeper Alliance, one of the world’s leading organizations dedicated to protecting waterways and coastal communities, Eco-Alianza advances its conservation mission through the Loreto Coast Keeper initiative, monitoring seawater quality and fecal bacteria levels to safeguard the health of the Bay of Loreto and the communities that depend on it.
Our Project Coordinator, André Garayzar, traveled to Quito to represent Eco-Alianza at this gathering of environmental leaders and water advocates from around the world. During the conference, André presented the latest results from our 2025–2026 Bay of Loreto seawater quality monitoring program, along with key Eco-Alianza initiatives in aquifer protection and community engagement.
