Those who commit to the following
“Guiding Principles” of Eco-Alianza.
1. Environmental sustainable tourism and real estate
development;
2. Minimize ecological impact on region’s water and fragile
desert environment;
3. Protect and conserve the unique marine biodiversity of
Bahia de Loreto and surrounding islands and inlets of the
region, which make up a part of the designated World
Heritage Site for the Gulf of California;
4. Historic preservation;
5. Community engagement and public participation to avoid
irresponsible land use planning and development that
will be environmentally destructive and unsustainable;
6. Government accountability and transparency;
7. Commitment to environmental education for young and
old alike among the residents (part time, full time) of
Loreto as well as out of town visitors;
8. An active and engaged partnership of nonprofits,
academic institutions, government and business.

OTHER MEMBERSHIP LEVELS:
Members will be permitted to use the Eco-Alianza
sticker on the window of their establshment, place of
business or home.
1. Associate Members: Eco-tour operators, hotels, travel
businesses, restaurants, etc.
